Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Abode Canterbury enjoys a superb location right on the High Street, making it convenient for shopping and exploring attractions like Canterbury Cathedral and the Marlowe Theatre. Many guests appreciate the spacious rooms, some featuring separate seating areas and even egg-shaped bathtubs. The Brasserie's tapas-style menu is often praised for its variety, quality, and good value; on the other hand, a few visitors have found the rooms somewhat dated. The hotel is generally quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep.

adequate, but some issues detracted from the stay

broken air conditioningcracked glass
i found a few things less than ideal. the air conditioning in the room didn't work properly, so it was difficult to get comfortable. there was also a significant crack in the glass shelf in the bathroom, a clear sign of wear and tear. during my bath, i noticed some residue stuck to the tub, bits flaking off into the water. it just wasn't what i expected considering the price point.

Mixed Experience at City Center Hotel

inconsistent hot waterinadequate radiator
My stay had a couple of issues. The hot water in the room was inconsistent. An oil radiator was provided, but it struggled to heat the room adequately. I had to wear bathrobes to bed. The water issue was discovered late at night, so I just dealt with it. It wasn't ideal.
